The Opportunity

My client is looking to expand a full spectrum of commercial property services to a sophisticated and expanding client base. The team will operate across all commercial asset classes, including:

  • Office

  • Retail & High Street

  • Industrial & Logistics

  • Development Land

  • Investment Assets

  • Hospitality & Licensed Premises

  • Healthcare & Medical

  • Nursing Homes

 

The division has earned its standing through proactive strategy, decisive execution, and a relentless focus on maximising client returns. This role offers the successful candidate a platform to contribute meaningfully to that continued growth.

The Role

This is primarily a valuation-led position with meaningful exposure to agency. The successful candidate will operate at Associate Director level, leading instructions while supporting and developing agency pipelines.

Valuations

  • Undertake Red Book-compliant valuations across all commercial asset classes

  • Produce robust, defensible, and well-structured valuation reports

  • Lead complex valuation assignments to the highest professional standards

  • Engage directly with lenders, investors, and institutional clients

Agency

  • Lead and assist in sales and lettings instructions across asset classes

  • Conduct negotiations and drive transactions to completion

  • Carry out inspections and market appraisals

  • Support strategic growth of the commercial department

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead inspections, negotiations, and valuation assignments across a broad spectrum of commercial assets

  • Produce rigorous, defensible, and commercially sharp valuation reports

  • Uphold the highest professional, ethical, and regulatory standards at all times

  • Drive operational improvements and enhance internal processes

  • Support, mentor, and develop junior surveyors within the team

  • Act as a technical reference point, elevating collective expertise and performance

Candidate Profile

  • My client is targeting a high-performing, commercially driven Chartered Surveyor who combines technical excellence with agency capability and leadership ambition.

  • Registered Valuer

  • MRICS / MSCSI qualified

  • 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Argus Valuations (Capitalisation & Developer modules)

  • Proven commercial acumen with the ability to operate across valuation and agency

  • Exceptional analytical ability and report-writing precision

  • Strong organisational capability with experience managing multiple concurrent instructions

  • Confident client-facing professional with polished negotiation skills

  • Collaborative team player with clear leadership trajectory
