Avril Clare Recruitment Ltd has been retained on an exclusive basis bt the Irish Property Owners’ Association (IPOA), to recruit a Chief Executive Officer with a start date of February 2026.
The CEO will lead, inspire, and transform the organisation, driving membership growth beyond its current 2,000 members and elevating its social media presence and national profile.
This confident and articulate leader will represent the IPOA at key networking events and across major media platforms, including radio, acting as a compelling public ambassador for the sector.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in leading and motivating high-performing executive teams, alongside strong financial acumen to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and overall organisational performance. Experience of working in the Property sector while not essential is highly desirable.

About IPOA: Founded in 1993, the Irish Property Owners’ Association is a non-profit organisation that seeks to protect and promote the interests of private residential property owners and encourage the supply of good quality accommodation and professional standards of property management.
Job description: As the CEO of the company, you will be responsible for
Setting and implementing the company’s vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the company’s growth
Leadership: Inspire and lead a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Financial management: Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting,
Performance: Develop a strong performance culture and commitment to subscribers and other service users ensuring the delivery of high quality services.
Stakeholder relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, partners, and the board of directors.
External Relationships: Maintain and develop effective networks of commercial and regulatory partners that will add value to IPOA’s work and ensure that it is viewed as an influential and reliable partner. Expand the subscriber base by developing new offers and converting non-subscribing service users.
Represent the organisation: acting as an ambassador and building a strong media profile to enhance its reputation. Ensure a high level and influential presence in lobbying and campaigning activity.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate,
Experience of working in the Property sector while not essential is highly desirable.
● Proven experience as a CEO or in a similar executive leadership position.
● Strong strategic and operational acumen with comprehensive knowledge of the housing & rental market.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience of working closely and reporting to boards and other commercial partners.
● Track record of successfully leading teams and driving growth.
● Financial acumen and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
● Results orientated with a strong focus on delivery.
Qualifications: Degree level qualification would be an advantage.
