Building Surveyor 55k - 70k doe + bonus
My client is looking to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their rapidly expanding team. The team is engaged in a wide range of exciting projects and offers excellent variety, job security, and clear career progression opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a confident, motivated professional with strong communication skills and a keen interest in both the residential and commercial real estate markets. Reporting to the Director of Workplace Solutions & Strategic Design Consultancy, the successful candidate will provide high-quality support to the division, ensuring prompt and effective service delivery to clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Delivering high-quality Building Consultancy services across project management, building evaluations, space audits, and feasibility studies. 
- Supporting the team with building surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidation reports for lease agreements, cost planning, and due diligence reviews. 
- Instructing and liaising with contractors on building maintenance issues and security inspections. 
- Assisting the Director with planning audit reviews, energy audits, capital works analysis, sinking fund assessments, and lifecycle analysis. 
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:
- A degree in Building Surveying (BSc Hons or equivalent) is essential. Chartered status (RICS/SCSI) is preferred but not mandatory. 
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in a similar role. 
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with a strong sense of initiative, integrity, and independence, while also being an effective team player. 
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written (fluency in English is essential). 
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with proven problem-solving skills. 
- High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and strong customer focus. 
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
- Strong reporting skills, ability to follow instructions, respect for authority, and consistent follow-through. 
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels within an organisation. 
- Eligible for registration under the provisions of the Building Control Act 2007.
